Ace the California IDEX Exam 2026 – Freshen Up Your Design Dreams!

The bidding phase is a critical point in the design process where the interior designer must ensure that the contractors and vendors fully understand and can comply with the design intent before the project starts. Reviewing the bidding phase before the project is awarded allows the designer to clarify any ambiguities in the bid documents, assess the suitability of potential contractors, and ensure that the proposed solutions align with the original design goals.

By engaging in this review, the designer can address any potential issues or misinterpretations of the design intent that could arise during construction, ultimately leading to a smoother execution of the project. This proactive approach significantly reduces the risk of costly mistakes or deviations from the intended design once the project is underway.
